Yes, well.... I am a retired middle school teacher of 30 years. It was a tough job, but I think I touched the lives of a few kids along the way. I miss the kids but could never go back. I'm looking to volunteer. I am a simple, down-to-earth person, unassuming, tolerant, kind, creative, big-hearted, loving, funny, and all kinds of other goodies. I'm looking to make friends, as people are the most important pluses to my well-being. I do not like violence in any form, shy away from people from other planets, and have a hearty political (liberal), spiritual (non-religious) social conscience. My biggest dream is to teach children in Africa. My littler dream is to experience love and beauty and peace, and to build a tree house in my back yard. If you want to know more about me, just ask. I had not seen nor heard from my exiled brother for 35 years.l In 2004 I looked him up on the internet and to my surprise found him alive. I sent a note saying that I would be glad to hear from him but that it was entirely his choice. Shocked, I got a response and several letters passed back and forth. I went up to visit him for the first time in the summer of 2005. It was hard to see him ,practically hairless, somewhat stooped. But he is quite a character. I've been up a couple of Christmases and plan to go again this year. He is 70 years old, disabled, and lives on Social Security. I said earlier that one of my dreams was to have a tree house in my backyard. Well, let me tell you, that doesn't compare to my dream of buying or somehow getting him a nice little house. I took on 5 home businesses trying to make an easy buck. Two scammed me, I quit two and have one left, a fine company called Cognigen (telecommunications). But you have to work very hard and have bucks for advertising to make these things go. And I don't know if I have the right stuff. But, If you don't have a dream, how you gonna make a dream come true? (from South Pacific)
